Hats off to Parkway Goalies!
This past weekend, three dedicated Parkway goalkeepers, Jonathan Boccuzzi, Emmett Maguire, and Jack Harrington sacrificed their Saturday afternoon to support a worthy cause. Standing outside the local Roche Bros. Supermarket, they spent several hours collecting donations for the October Saves Goalie Challenge, a campaign dedicated to fighting cancer.
Their hard work paid off, as the trio raised an impressive $1,200.00. This effort not only reflects their commitment but also underscores the strong support from their teammates and the Parkway community.
Every October, goalies across the nation unite to make a difference in the battle against cancer. The October Saves organization, a 501(c)(3) all-volunteer group, transforms saved pucks into lifesaving funds, directly supporting cancer research and patient care. The dedication of young athletes like Jonathan, Emmett, and Jack exemplifies the spirit of this initiative, showcasing how community involvement can make a meaningful impact.
Congrats to Jonathan, Emmett, and Jack!
