Co-Ed Travel (Squirts-Bantams)
PYH's travel hockey program includes Squirts, Pee-Wees, and Bantams. All teams participate in the Valley Hockey League.
Ages
Squirts:, ages 9-10. Pee-Wees, ages 11-12. Bantams, ages 13-14
When
The season typically starts in early September. The season lasts until late March or early April.
Where
Practices are held at Roche Arena or Roxbury Latin School in West Roxbury. Most games are typically no further than 30 minutes away.
Practices
Practice is typically held twice a week through the season with one day being a team practice and the other day being a skills session.
Games
Games are typically held on Saturdays and Sundays. Teams may have occasional games during the week during school vacations.
Jerseys
Jerseys are purchased by the player's families and can be used for multiple years. Jerseys may be purchased through Play it again Sports in Dedham. Even birth years use even numbers. Odd birth years use odd numbers.
SQUIRTS-BANTAM 2025-2026
Please register here for Tryouts for this upcoming 2025-2026 VHL Travel season for Squirts (2016 & 2015), PeeWee (2014 & 2013) an Bantams (2012 & 2011)
The tryout fee is $300 if you register before March 17th 2025 then the price will increase to $350. Players who participate on that team for the upcoming season will have all $300 applied to the Travel tuition costs. Final tuition costs of travel teams will be determined by the PYH Board of Directors at a later date after league registration and game fees have been forwarded to PYH.
REFUNDS
Players choose not to participate must notify PYH by email no later than April 6th, 2025 that your child will not be playing for a PYH Travel Team for the upcoming season. All notifications must be made in writing and sent to PYH at: tryouts@parkwayyouthhockey.org in order to be eligible for a refund.
A player or family submitting an email notification received by PYH on or before April 6th, 2025 will be eligible for a $200 refund.
A player or family submitting an email notification received by PYH after April 6th, 2025 will not be eligible for a refund of any portion of the try out fee subtracted from the tuition total.
To be clear, team composition will not be posted until after April 6th, 2025.
